1. The city with the largest mall
For the shopping lovers, Jakarta is a fun city. There are 173 malls spread over the city.
In Jakarta you can visit Plaza Senayan, Senayan City, Pacific Place, Grand Indonesia and many more.
There is an annual shopping, Jakarta Fair Kemayoran, which is held by the Governor, Ali Sadikin.  


2. Has 47 Museums
Not only shopping lovers, the anthropologist must love the city. Jakarta has 47 museums, such as Fatahillah museum, Taman Prasasti, Wayang museum, Mohammad Hoesni Thamrin, etc.

3. The only city with provincial status
Jakarta is the only city in Indonesia with the provincial status and 70% of the velocity of money happened in Jakarta. 13% of the citizens have revenues above $1000.

4. The biggest Train station in ASEAN (south East is in Jakarta
Jakarta Kota Station is the biggest train station with 580 train traffic everyday.  And the fact that the station is built in Dutch colonial era makes the station more unique.
Jakarta Station is set as a cultural heritage by Jakarta Governor in 1993.

6. 10 times, Jakarta Has Changed Its Name
Before getting the name Jakarta, Its name has changed 10 times. The first name is Sunda Kelapa, then Sta Batavia, Gemeente Batavia, Stad Gemente Batavia.
For the japanese colonial, Jakarta becomes Betsgu Shi, then Jakarta Toko.
Since the Independence Day, Jakarta becomes Jakarta, Kota Praja Jakarta, Pemerintah Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta Raya, and finally, Jakarta.

7. The Mascot of Jakarta is NOT Monas (Monumen Nasional/National Monument)
When Indonesian people asked about the mascot of Jakarta, spontaneously they will say Monas. But the answer is wrong.
The right answer is kites and Condet Bark statue.
They are assigned in 1989.

8. The Most Numerous Skyscrapers
Jakarta has 17th  rank as the most numerous skyscrapers in the world with 40 skyscrapers.
